Welcome to FMCT Students at First Methodist Church Trussville, where you will find you truly belong! We have been experiencing such growth over the past three years since launching our rebuild and we believe that is solely because of how we are challenging our students to not only grow in knowledge of scripture, but to also challenge them to take that knowledge and apply into every aspect of their daily lives! Because of this, we have students walking through our doors for the first time and experience a Student Ministry filled with students who love you where you are at, but are going to help you grow closer to God. This is done through scripture based lessons, small groups, worship, mission trips, retreats, peer mentorship, fellowship, games etc...
Our mission is very clear here at FMCT Students! We take our knowledge of God's Word and we apply it to every aspect of our daily lives. That because we are called to do this, we are too look differently than the world. This allows us to live a life where all of our actions point those around us to who Christ is! Our words are full of life, love, kindness, and truth. Our actions are pure, loving, serving, and able to be held accountable.
So, if you're looking for a place to belong, to be welcomed, to be loved, to serve, and ultimately to experience God's love, mercy, and forgiveness then look no further. If you want to be challenged that you can continue to grow closer to God today than you were yesterday. To grow in your relationship and to truly understand what it means to whole heartedly surrender your life to God. That when situations arise and things are going tough, that not only can you lean into God, but you can lean into your peers, adult leaders, and mentors because we're all walking this walk together. Meeting Times!
Sunday School 9:45am-10:45am
Sunday school is held upstairs in the Student Ministry Room. Sunday school is taught by Miss Savannah where she takes our students deeper into God's Word!
Wednesday Night Small Groups 6:30pm-7:30 pm
Wednesday nights begin with a church wide dinner in the CLC at 5:30 before moving upstairs afterwards at 6:20! We will come together as a large group to discuss upcoming events before dismissing into our girls/guys small groups where we dive into scripture, open up with one another, and pray for one another before dismissing at 7:30!
Sunday Evening 5:00pm-7:30pm
Sunday night is our large group gathering for grades 7th-12th! We meet upstairs in the Student Ministry room at 5:00. We eat dinner together every Sunday! This is a way for us to have conversations with one another and learn what is going on in each other's lives. We move straight into our worship set/lesson for the night after dinner. After our worship time is over, we will move into one of our large group games before ending at 7:30pm!
